Michael Freed attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received a BS. In Economics and the University of Chicago School of Law where he received a JD.

Michael commenced his legal career with the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and has engaged in private legal practice since leaving government service. He is a founding partner of Freed Kanner London & Millen, LLC, where he practices in the area of complex litigation in federal and state courts throughout the United States specializing in private antitrust litigation.

Michael has served as a lead counsel on behalf of plaintiffs in some of the country’s largest antitrust cases. He is a frequent speaker and published writer on legal topics. Michael is a member of numerous state and national bar associations and has been recognized for his legal abilities in many national and international publications including Best Lawyers, Chambers International, Chicago’s Best Lawyers, Global Competition Review, Illinois Super Lawyers, and Leading Lawyers. Michael is admitted to practice before several federal district courts and courts of appeal, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Michael has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cancer Research Foundation for more than x years. In addition Michael presently serves on the Advisory Board of The Consumer Law Institute of the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and as a member of the International Board of Governors of The Hebrew University. Previously, Michael served on the Board of Directors of the Appleseed Foundation, was a member of the Advisory Board of The American Antitrust Institute, and was a trustee of Equal Justice Works (then known as NAPIL), all of which are located in Washington, D.C. Michael has also served several terms as a member of the Visiting Alumni Committee of The University of Chicago Law School, from which he received his J.D.

Michael and his wife Jean are residents of Highland Park, Illinois, and have three children and four grandchildren.
